Today ski'd Northstar. ($46 bucks! Ouch! "Only" $43 yesterday. Why, i remember, back a mere 2 decades or so ago, when you could ski at Ashland or Lassen for $14, Bend for $17, even Heavenly for $23, which seemed wildly expensive at the time.) What with getting up late, slow preparations, breakfast, and the long drive, didn't get there til 'bout 11. Started out quite warm, supposed to be 40, at least at the base, sunny too, tho' quite windy. Video'd an entire run as we ran it -- it's easy with this tiny camera, even managed to keep Carol in the view most of the time. Afternoon turned cloudy and quite cold, 32 at the summit, which isn't bad, but wind at 20 mph, and of course the overcast makes it seem worse. Had good quesadilla at the summit, but no indoor eating area, so it seemed more a survival experience than fine cuisine. Ski'd to 3:30, then back to the cabin in the woods.
