On Friday evening I headed north on Highway 93, sleeping in the back of the pickup south of Salmon. Next morning took a side trip to Big Hole National Battlefield, then continued north all the way to Glacier National Park, arriving at dusk. After enjoying the awesome view atop Going-To-The-Sun, i turned around and headed back south, staying the nite in the pickup south of Missoula.
