From the hotel room.

Went for a walk on the beach. Nice day.

Some unknown creature(s) made these patterns. It (They) did it for a good purpose. I don't really care what it was, but i love this kind of stuff, deterministic randomness. It appears random only because we don't understand.

Close-ups of beach sand. Compare to later very similar beach shots, taken telephoto from miles away, proof of the fractal basis of existance.

These are beautiful to watch in video. Changing. Constantly. For good reason. And we don't know what it is.

Sea lions far below. But you knew that.

Here's beach from a mile or so away.

The house of my ex-stepson and his wonderful good wife and family. It is an ancient barn, the sole remant of what was once was, a tiny Eden, it survives in the center of urbanic Eugene.

No Eden will last forever. Intelligently fleeing the encroachment of apartmentalism, drugs, and crime, he will move to the country. These are his 10 acres. He'll rearrange some trees and build a log home.
