Remembering a Chief

A memorial service for former Weaverville Fire Chief Cliff Carrington were held at the Fire Hall on Saturday October 10, 2009. A very large crowd attended.

John C. “Cliff” Carrington joined the department in June 1983, serving as an Engine Captain, Battalion Chief, Assistant Chief, and then as volunteer Fire Chief for four years from January 1995 to January 1999.  After 16 years with the department, and he served as a Fire District Commissioner for four years.
